EDINGLASSIE DOUBLE ON ‘THE GONG DAY’

The 2021 Gong Day opened in fine form with the Edinglassie bred 5YO Gelding, The Guru, taking out the first race over 2000m. Jockey, Brock Ryan, gave The Guru a great ride making it his second city win in a row on the gelding. He was a $50k purchase for Trainer, Theresa Bateup, out of our 2018 Magic Millions draft. The dam, currently has a lovely Zousain Colt on her.

Wrapping up Gong Day was Edinglassie bred, Dynamic Impact. The 4YO Bjorn Baker trained gelding was too strong for his rivals under legendary jockey, James McDonald, to take out the final race over 1400m. Dynamic Impact was a $160k purchase for Bjorn Baker & Clarke Bloodstock out of our 2019 Magic Millions Draft. Bjorn, is hopeful that he will be Magic Millions bound in 2022, to contest against the best Magic Millions Graduates.
